Run Ealing Half Marathon for Team Grange!
25th September 2022
The multi award-winning Ealing Half Marathon returns for its 10th anniversary this September. As Grange is the closest school to the start and finish of the race, we think it’s time that we were one of the most prominent schools at the event. So this year we’re having a big push to put together a team of parents and teachers to run to raise money for the school.
What you need to know
Why run Ealing Half Marathon for Team Grange?

Do I have to raise a mininum amount?
No, but you need to buy your own entry to the event for about £50.
I've never run before - can I still sign up?
Yes! With over four months until the race, there is plenty of time for a beginner runner to build up to half marathon distance, and training plans to suit all abilities.
I'm already planning to run - can I join the team?
Yes! The more the merrier. We want to flood the course with Grange t-shirts and maximise our fundraising potential.

Training and race day
The ideal half marathon training plan lasts twelve weeks, though it’s possible to extend or reduce this depending on your goals.
Twelve week training plans will start on July 4th, which is when the optional Team Grange plan will start.
Ealing Half Marathon have kindly supplied these training plans to suit all abilities:
The course
The course starts around the corner from the school in Lammas Park. From there it heads towards Uxbridge Road, up to and around Pitshanger, and through Greenford before heading back to the park through the Northfields backstreets. Easy!
Got your gear?
It’s important that you wear the right shoes for distance running.
Luckily, one of Team Grange’s partners is geerly.com, the home of price comparison for runners. Head there to find the best deal for any running trainer in your size.
Full disclosure: geerly is run by Tom Green who is organising and coaching the team
