The term had an excellent start with the EALING HALF MARATHON, the teachers really helped put the T in our PTA! Thank you to all those who ran, sponsored and cheered from the sideline.

Halloween gave us a spookily good BAKE SALE, thank  you to everyone who baked, brought and bought produce to raise such a screamingly good amount.

We also celebrated Diwali and Bonfire night with our first cultural FESTIVAL OF LIGHT event, the fireworks were spectacular and for some families this was the first opportunity for little ones to experience a local firework display that wasn’t too late, too muddy, or too overwhelming! The response has been incredibly positive and we hope the occasion becomes a permanent fixture in the annual calendar.

Finally, we ended the year with our WINTER WONDERLAND Christmas Fair, a daunting task to take on, thank you to all those parents, carers and teachers who helped pull it together. We’re thrilled that the recycling initiatives were so well received, the Bottle Tombola saw a dramatic reduction in plastic bottles and our 2nd Hand Stall completely sold out! We also had a plastic-free Gardenplace Stall, offering an affordable alternative to Christmas gifts – this too sold out and we hope will become a permanent fixture for future events.
Gratitude goes to everyone who came (albeit on a Sunday!) and brought with them such good Christmas cheer, the atmosphere was wonderful!

We’ve also spent time with Nursery parents this term, to help showcase the school to those who need to consider school places before the January deadline. Mr Maloy and a few of us spoke about what we love about the school, which wasn’t hard with so many great things going on and seeing our children thrive as much as they do. We hope this will encourage the next wave of Reception places to flourish!

In other news, our Community Initiatives team have made a great start in setting up ways to raise money for the school that doesn’t cost parent/carer time or money. Through Amazon Smile, Waitrose green tokens, Company matching and community businesses, we hope to reach another level of support beyond the playground.

What’s To Come?

Spring Term hopes to see the return of the School Disco, Colour Run in association with Holi and a Mother’s Day Gift Sale.

We hope to relaunch the Gardening Club under the capable hands  of Nova (Yr1) and Charlotte (Yr3) as well as launching the brand new website that will enable us to interact better as a parent body as well as donate and share ideas a lot easier.
If you would like to get involved with the PTA in any capacity please do contact us.
